Head to our instagram or TkTok to hear from our Patient Advocate, Jess, who talks about World Heart Day.
❤️ Monday 29th September was World Heart Day, a global reminder that our hearts need care every single day.
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death worldwide, claiming more lives than cancer and respiratory disease combined. Even more concerning, 1 in 5 people will die prematurely from a heart or circulatory condition.
But here’s the hopeful part: up to 80% of premature heart disease and strokes are preventable through simple lifestyle changes.
The choices we make each day truly matter. This year’s theme is 'Don’t Miss a Beat' — a reminder to listen to your heart and take action.
Here are 3 small steps you can start today for better heart health:
❣️Move more, even short walks make a difference
❣️ Eat smart, reduce processed foods and choose whole, nourishing options
❣️ Know your numbers, check your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar
Our challenge: take one step for your heart every day. Go for a walk, make a healthier meal choice, or book a check-up... your future self will thank you.
